Client Overview:

T raditional roadside assistance services were heavily reliant on manual call centers, often resulting in long wait times, poor service coordination, and frustrating experiences for stranded motorists. Customers had little visibility into the status of their requests, while service providers struggled with disorganized dispatching and a lack of real-time communication. This legacy approach created operational bottlenecks and hindered both responsiveness and trust, especially in high-density urban areas or during peak traffic hours. To address these challenges, the client envisioned a tech-driven, mobile-first solution that redefined how vehicle breakdown services are delivered. Inspired by the Uber model.

The goal was to create a platform that could instantly connect users in distress with nearby certified mechanics or tow trucks through GPS-enabled matching. The system needed to support live tracking, clear pricing, and real-time communication—ensuring faster service delivery, enhanced transparency, and scalable operations across cities. The result was RoadResQ, a smart, on-demand breakdown assistance platform built for the modern commuter.

Technical Contribution

  • Developed RoadResQ, a full-stack mobile-first platform connecting stranded users with nearby certified mechanics or tow trucks via real-time GPS-based matching.
  • Built with Flutter for cross-platform app delivery (iOS & Android), reducing time-to-market.
  • Firebase + Node.js backend for real-time data syncing, authentication, and push notifications.
  • Integrated GeoFire for spatial queries and optimized service-matching algorithms.
  • Created a dedicated Mechanic App for real-time job intake, route navigation, and status updates.
  • Designed a Web Admin Dashboard for fleet management, live job monitoring, and support functions.
  • Established CI/CD workflows using Bitrise, enforced code quality with SwiftLint, and added XCTest coverage for iOS.

Results Delivered:

  • RoadResQ reduced average customer wait times from over 90 minutes to under 25. It scaled to 10,000+ users and hundreds of service agents within 6 months. The app empowered local mechanics with consistent, real-time job assignments. Its white-label architecture enabled easy rollout across multiple cities and regions.
